Impact of the Sports Premium
The school recognised that in order to leave a lasting legacy, staff CPD was essential in order to raise the quality of the provision offered to all children.  A two year school improvement plan for P.E. and Sports was written and followed and as a result, staff subject knowledge, skills and ability to teach high quality P.E. has risen steadily as shown by the increased number of excellent observations.  A baseline attitude survey was taken by all children and this suggests that many more children now enjoy their sports and P.E. as well as knowing why this is an important part of life.  Uptake for P.E. and sports based clubs has improved and attendance at sporting fixtures, festivals and competitions has increased greatly.  Children have experienced some different sports in school such as Karate and Street Dance widening their experiences.  Some have gone on to join local clubs outside school as a result.
