The Friends of Forncett School (FOFS) association was formed in 1990 to support the school and involve the community in school life.Anyone with a keen interest in the school is invited to join FOFS whether they be a parent, carer, extended family member, staff or member of the local community. Everyone is welcome!
FOFS members are involved in a wide variety of events which include social events as well as fundraising for the school, which is its main purpose. It’s a great way to make a difference, feel part of something special and make new friends. FOFS are also in a position to provide valuable ideas, contacts and support to the school.
Over the years, FOFS have raised thousands for school funds. Money raised is used to subsidise school visits and contribute towards the purchase of items such as play equipment and Christmas presents and an Easter Egg Hunt for every child. In addition to the Christmas Fayre, Summer Fayre and events such as ‘The Great Forncett Bake-Off’, FOFS arrange and pay for fun social events such as the school disco.
FOFS have a committee and anyone can join it by simply turning up to a meeting. The only elected posts are Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
Please come and join in the fun – it’s a bit of work sometimes but it’s enjoyable, sociable and really rewarding!
